Hi, sorry new here. It's solved for me, but not for others so I can't mark the thread solved - can I? To be honest I don't even know how to mark something "solved." Sorry.

The Threat Starter can mark it as "solved".

Thanks buddy. That makes sense. I didn't start the thread obviously.

BTW: Your link to MS site in post #105 Looks like even MS don't know. Or similar, was great. I laughed. Thanks.

Edit: Just in case, I should have said I deleted only all things related to flash, shockwave, macromedia, in the above windows and user folders and registry. I'm sure that's obvious, but I wrote/put it badly.
You deleted everything with "flash" in its name... Like... everything? :O I'm afraid I could cause some problems...

Someone asked what this update does? Well, it's a major update for Edge and Cortana as well as a whole bunch of other stuff it seems. My Cortana had been shut off, and it had a brand new icon. I had to set it up all over again and this time it asked me for a few more details. And now it seems I can open up apps with Cortana like I can do with the Apple Assistant and Droid's "OK Google". I'm actually pretty pleased with the update so far. I'm also in dictating this response through Cortana into Edge, they increased the interaction between Cortana an edge so dictation is a lot easier now.

One thing I noticed was that when I first installed windows 10 there were several updates daily for a couple of weeks. This latest update is the only update I've gotten for the last two weeks, there hasn't really been anything. But the improvements in the Microsoft speech engine seems to be well worth the update.

One thing I noticed with this update installed is my Weather live tile no longer works. I tried reinstalling the app but it didn't make any difference.
