Out of curiosity, how many updates have their been since Windows 10 was released worldwide this year? I am not sure where to look for updates for Windows 10.
Minimum now: 5 Cumulative Updates available!

Thank you for the information, Cluster Head. Before I started the process in my initial post, I took a screen shot of updates on my computer, which I cannot upload with this post. I have found through Programs and Features that I have nine updates since August 9, 2015. Now I cannot access Start Menu since the latest update. Nor can I search on the Taskbar and click on icons beside the computer clock. It seems that update just messed up my computer. I need to get the Start Menu and Task Bar access back. Has anyone have similar problem as me? Does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks so much.

Lots.......... more security definitions updates for windows defender than anything else ....at least 10 to one if not 20 to one ! ☻

I am not sure where to look for updates for Windows 10.
Settings > Update and Security > Advanced Options > View Your Update History

OR ... Control Panel > Programs and Features > View Installed Updates >

FWIW the update history only keeps your current Windows Insider test build updates if you are on an Insiders test build .

Those multiple Window Defender updates per day were becoming annoying. Within an hour of each update, the notification panel would tell me that Defender needs to scan my computer. Not to mention that Defender was always using 10%-15% CPU. I really wanted Defender to be my only spyware/virus software, but it ultimately became too annoying. So, I went back to AVAST yesterday. Thankfully, Avast turns off Defender and its updates.

On a note related to this thread... It turns out that KB3093266 caused a problem with my P.C. not being able to open any folders on my desktop, or use File Explorer, or open "This PC". I did everything, all the way up to reinstalling Windows 10, to find a fix. The solution I stumbled upon tonight was to change my "custom" display DPI from 120% to 125%. Once I did this and restarted, Windows10 was back to 100% functionality. In Windows10, after kb3093266, a custom 120% DPI scale is incompatible with my system. But using the Windows-10 preset increments of 100%, 125% or 150% DPI scaling cause no problems. Go figure...

    RE :
The multiple Win Defender updates have slowed down here ( they are always more frequent with a new install or test build for at least a week or two ) but Defender never uses CPU or anthing in any significant way here in fact way less than any Avast install I've used prior to Win 10 . I dont have Avast on my 3 win 10 boxes but I used it for a few years on win 7 x64 .

OTOH Avast ( free) is real decent and doesent update nearly as much but it slows down start up significantly on a metal hdd regardless of OS used and the Avast fly out notifications can be annoying .☻

My CPU is 2-3 % right now with 5 Chrome browser tabs and the Windows 10 mail client open .
Win defender is using 40,524K of memory in Procman obviously not much CPU .

None of these problems either just lucky I guess ☻☻

I keep my windows 10 > display settings slider @ 125% on a 27" QHD monitor and 40" 1080P the other ~ 3 positions work fine but are ouside of my prefernces .

I can open 30 tabs in Chrome /Widows 10 sometimes more just like Win 7 ( in fact Chrome seems better and faster In Win 10 on this box .

I'm on Chrome 64 bit stable build but 32 bit runs fine also but if you you get crap like facebook on some long pages that keep piling in ads and garbage or some websites that just keep piling crap on to the web page a tab is open to thats when it gets to be a problem with too many open tabs .

Facebook is trainwreck of useless garbage anyway IMO and sometimes pages with lots of crap can take forever to load it would be better if Facebook didn't exist at all IMO. I try to stay off my FB page and limit the garbage ads and things websites can post there but it still gets in even stuff I heve no interest or prior relationship with .

They used to have chain mail now they have chain garbage aka facebook and I have give my page a haircut now and then .

I only use facebook for some minimum functionalities with othwer web sites or wordpress /disquis log ons .

    Chrome processes :
This Chrome session w/ one tab opened one Chrome App ofc . and 5 Chrome backgound processes not using a significant amount of resources otoh with 15- or more tabs open it would start to hog memory in a hurry on this box , CPU is never a problem .
    Taskman screenshot :

    Attachment 41768
I used to be able to open 100 tabs before the system slows down with 16GB of memory under Win7 but that was 8 months ago and then I guess Chrome updated and it allowed less because once I think you hit 60 or so, you cannot even see the icon for the tab anymore to know what is what. You're right that facebook's main page aka newsfeed is a major resource hog. I have one main page for the tab and the others are usually opening individual specific posts. The notifications on the webpage is useless too since it will only hold 99 max and you have to right click on it and hope the site doesn't crash the browser, otherwise you would basically lose all the notifications you did not click on, it's not really designed well. Maybe it's kind of like what AOL used to be in the 1990s. I think what really slows Chrome down is really Adobe Flash, the built-on one has always gave people problems while the external Firefox plug-in worked better when the built-in one was disabled but we don't really have a choice now. Macromedia seemed better when they owned Flash, seems like it became a resource hog after Adobe bought it out.

I have not reinstalled Windows 10. I think I may go back to my previous OS. There are too many problems with Windows 10.

I cannot even click on my clock to see calendar or full reading of current time including the seconds. Nor can I access the Action Center as it now has a white solid background. I also cannot access my network via the icon. I cannot access Start Menu. Nor can I do a search.

Changing the display to 125% did nothing.

What are my next steps to to resolve my problems including not seeing Edge browser information on Process Explorer since the fix I followed really messed up Windows 10.

I installed it, it did no harm. It included KB3081448, which I had deleted earlier, but I suppose the new portion fixed the problems that the KB3081441-1449 updates caused me.

The only update that really futzed me was KB3081441, it totally bricked my PC. Whatever problems it caused seem to have been superseded in KB3093266.
