I tried it by manually installing it and doing it from browser, as seen in my post in other thread, the error message shown, either way i try, no good. It's o.k., not worried if it's an MS thing, be fixed, if not i use Firefox mostly.

    Windows update error help
The files extension that you d/l should have had MSU and you had a choice of the 32bit or 64 bit, choose wrong one, and it will not install. Can't use IE to install these files. All I did was click on the correct version from my download dir, and it installed into IE11. Very simple process.

It seems that the manual download did not support windows 10!

I lost Edge and when I play Spider Solitaire it bugs out unexpectedly. I also can't launch Spider Solitaire and now even the STORE dialogue goes batty and disappears. This is all that I can think may be the cause: "Security Update for Internet Explorer Flash Player for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3087040) - Error 0x80004005". I hope this get cleared up soon cause it is a pain in the butt!!
Then go into updates, choose advance menu and uninstall that update. If you think that's the problem.

Did all that, took right one, even did it twice to make sure, not in IE, Thanks tho.

Oh! Many have this problem. I thought I alone was having it. Was about to go to the latest restore point, thinking WIn 10 had come up with some bugs.Well, wait and see.

Manual update worked like a charm. Microsoft need to make that easier- a lot of people put in effort to keep their devices up-to-date and they are making the process an absolute nightmare, sometimes I think it will take an absolutely messed up update to force them to rescind the policy of forced updates, or to restore Windows Update as a desktop application because their new version doesn't seem up to the job.
