My desktop has been having this error on a Windows Update for the HP 2009m LCD display for a week now. One other Windows Update took a few days to get right, an AMD update which also kept failing to install. I have Googled the number 0x800705b3 in vain trying to interpolate that number with a specific Windows Update error code has has also proved futile.

The HP 2009m is a secondary display which I use occasionally for networking, programming, and research and it is functioning fine. I tried setting it as the default display prior to initiating the update - with negative results. I tried setting in as an extended display with my AOC 2436 display as the main display - with negative results.

I have run Windows 7 Pro x64 on my Desktop and this same Windows Update for the HP 2009m downloaded and installed without travail.

I have run around the HP Support environment in search of information relating to that HP 2009m update in connection with Windows 10 and nothing exists as yet. The information regarding updates for that display encompass XP, Vista, Windows 7, Window 8 and 8.1.

So, I am asking if anyone has experienced this Windows 10 Update error for the HP 2009m LCD display and if you would be willing to share any resolution or research you've done.

I downloaded the Microsoft Windows Update Diagnostic which I retrieved on 090515 from Windows Update Troubleshooter
The results of that diagnostic stated that if found some Windows Update component which needed repairing then proceeded to repair them - ostensibly. The update error continues to manifest itself. I add that one other update failed to install, a Windows Defender update which I did not concern myself with because I loathe the application and do not use it. This whole situation began on 083015 with three failed Windows Defender updates followed by the first HP 2009m failed update on 090415. Since 090415 my system has experienced 13 additional HP 2009m update failures.

Finally I am attaching some snapshots of the Windows Update messages which occurs after each update failure as well as snapshots of the Windows Update Diagnostic results. By the way
I ran the diagnostic several times for the past two days the the app keeps finding and fixing some unspecified update component... I apologize for the disordered snapshot array but this interface is unfamiliar to me and I could not provide the correct chronological sequence of events.
