There were some problems installing updates (0x80070643)

I am trying to use windows update & I'm getting this error over and over again.

There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x80070643)

Is anyone else also facing this ?

With which update? See Update History and post screenshot.

Were you to search tenforums for that error number, you would find lots of references and threads on how to deal with it, assuming it's KB5034441. If so:

    KB5034441 Security Update for Windows 10 (21H2 and 22H2) - Jan. 9
    - see the first comment below that- same error number.

Recovery partition issue - irrelevant if not using bitlocker.

Covered tens of times on tenforums, with details of how to deal with it... please have a look. Thanks.

Once again thank you for the kind reply.

I did search the forum with the full error "There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x80070643)" but it didn't show up the mentioned error. Now after posting I did search for only (0x80070643) and it showed multiple threads.

While I was going through them you replied and I checked & yes it turned out to be the damn KB5034441. I really don't use bitlocker at all. Although I had already disabled this KB5034441 update when it first started a few months back. I was surprised and thought that this must be something else until you pointed out to check update history and it shows that it was the same old update. I again used the software to disable this update and now windows update seems to back to normal not showing any errors so I must thank you for your help.

Great- curious it returned though - maybe an updated version of it?
