    Everything was successful

Now you can run Windows Update successfully

Finally you verify the winre.wim update:

    Dism /Get-ImageInfo /ImageFile:\\?\GLOBALROOT\device\harddisk0\partition3\Recovery\WindowsRE\winre.wim /index:1

    Build No. should be 3920

    Great You are a Hero!

and due to your good cooperation in less than 2 hours including repartitioning!

Some people don't follow advices and need a week and don't get it installed.

Nothing to thank me for. I just followed what you told me and focused on what I was doing. That's all.
Rather, If there is someone to thank here, that is you.
Thank you a lot for having helped me and for having spent your time to help me.

I have a question. Considering posts #28 and #41, and especially the following parts.
    This part from #28:
Windows 10 computers ran out of WinRE partition space because of the cautious phased launch. We had accumulated 6 months worth of smaller WinRE changes into a giant single patch and thus running out of partition space.
    And this part from #41:
I have resized the recovery partition on quite a few machines now, by experimenting I have found that the absolute minimum size required for this update to install is 680MB. Setting it a little larger at 1024MB should 'future proof' it should a similar issue occur later on.
I was saying, considering all this, is my Recovery partition size enough for future WinRE updates?
I'm asking you this especially because from what I see on Macrorit, my Recovery partition currently has 542.6 MB (see screenshot below).
As stated by Bree in post #41, KB5034441 required 680MB free space.
Now, I don't know how much space the next WinRE updates will require, but what if they need more than the 542.6MB of free space I currently have in my Recovery partition? Could I encounter an update error again?

This is from a MS OEM instruction:

"If manufacturer’s wish to use a custom DISKPART script for partition creation, the recommended minimum partition size is 990MB and a minimum of 250MB of free space."

In the beginning you had enough free space (628 MB) and it didn't work. It didn't work because it was a WIN 7 WinRE.wim.
But now you are very safe. 542 MB free space for updates. In your situation the best solution was found. We reduced the 128 MB MSR partition to the recommended 16 MB and placed it right behind the System partition. We added the free space to the Recovery Partition.

It is also possible to update a WinRE.wim outside of the Recovery Partiton. But that was not necessary here.

And whenever you find the old WinRE.wim from WIN7 don't hesitate to delete it!
This command helps you to find it
    dir /a /s c:\winre.wim

This is the result. No WinRE.wim was found.
One question: why should I have deleted if I had found it? And the fact that I didn't find it, is it a good or a bad thing?

What a question, when I said: "Don't hesitate and delete it."
It was a Win7! No Windows did it for you!

What I would do on that machine:
Reduce the size of your C-Partition and add the free space to (D:)
Now you have a good chance to separate personal files from system files on 2 independant Partitions.
My personal recommedation C-Partition 150 GB max.
    Macrorit can do it easily.

One thing is important: Whenever you run an Inplacement, check if Windows added a new Recovery just behind (C:) If not it's OK, if yes it can be undone easily and returned back to Partition 3

In case Windows had not deleted the old Windows 7 WinRE.wim for me, why should I have deleted it? Just to free space as it now was useless? Or there is some other reason?

You have 2 files with the same name and you can get confused easily!
Why didn't you format disk 1?
