Can I bypass a troubleprone update?
I reinstalled Windows 10 on my MS Surface laptop in preparation to sell it. I used Windows Recovery and elected to erase everything. Once installation was completed I proceeded to download all the updates so the new owner would not have to. All was going well until I got to (KB5027215). It kept failing. In reading here it was stated this was a known problematic update and to block it. I downloaded the MS "Show or hide updates" tool. I blocked that update successfully, but WU just faulted on the next update (KB5001716). I blocked that one as well hoping it would allow me to install the feature update 22H2 and continue on with whatever other updates were out there. That did not happen. Although there was no indication to do so from WU I did yet another reboot. This time as it rebooted the screen indicated it was updating windows and do not shut down the computer. That was a couple hours ago. I think I am doomed.
I don't care if I need to reinstall Windows again. I just want to get Windows installed and fully updated for whomever buys this. The question is - If I create a media creation tool with Windows 10. Will it have all the updates included so I won't spend hours installing updates and potentially running into this glitch again?
