Windows 10 22H2 Critical Update failure holding up all recent updates

I've been trying to get all my Windows 10 updates "up to date" and been stopped by KB5034122 which refuses to install.
Tried Windows Update several times all install activity stops at 20% until sometime later jumps to 100% fail.
Tried manually downloading from Microsoft catalog ,download successful , but install freezes after initialization and then jumps to end failing to install. my OS is Win 10 22H2 19045.2364
This has also occurred with another recent update but one at a time for this thread.
Anything you can suggest would be helpful

Hi, I assume you've done basics:
a. check disk(s) (Hard Disk Sentinel, Crystal Diskinfo)
b. IF ok, run
chkdsk c: /scan
from an admin command prompt
c. If ok, similarly run
SFC /SCANNOW
- check that passes

Note there's a particular common failure with KB5034441 (recovery partition size - free space too small)

No joy? The usual routine next step is an in-place upgrade repair install which keeps all progs and data

A picture of your partitions with e,g, Minitool Partition Wizard may help (not disk management).
