    April Patch Tuesday ignored by Windows Update


    Hi, I have Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC Version 1809 Build 17763.4131 which up to March has correctly installed the Patch Tuesday updates, but not the latest one for April which is ignored instead.

    The problem is that even when I perform a manual search for updates, I am told that they are all correctly installed without showing any error.

    Performing the following operation does not detect any problem:

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /RestoreHealth
    DISM /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup.
    sfc /scannow
    chkdsk/f C:
    Windows Update Troubleshooter indicates:

    IsPostback_RC_PendingUpdates IsPostback: False
    Service Status: Problem with BITS service: Requested service already started. System.Management.Automation.RemoteException Further.
    Any suggestions ?

    LTSC 1809 should still be in mainstream support.
    Enterprise and IoT Enterprise LTSB/LTSC editions

    You could try resetting Windows Update.

    In my case, just now I saw that the update was detected automatically and applied correctly using Windows Update.

Something odd just happened. After installing the latest set of patches today and rebooting. After I logged back in all of the previous programs I had open before the log off started back up automatically. Does anyone have any explanation for this...
