    Sorry for the slow reply @zbook !

    The fellow wanted his computer back for the time being so I don't currently have it to go any further with the attempted upgrade. He's going to clean it up a bit and then return it to me at some point for me to try again, so I'll likely get back to this then!

    I would suggest making a backup and backup the activation in case something goes wrong.
