    How to set automatic updates to ON in Win 10 pro WITHOUT booting OS

    It has to be done from advanced startup command prompt or by booting another OS and editing the Win 10 registry from there or by any other creative method that I cannot think of :)
    I need to turn on automatic updates so Windows would download updates and install them without requiring any confirmation/input. The system boots all the way to the desktop (no account password) but lost USB due to an update. Hopefully a subsequent update would sort it out.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

    @Adr1an

    I'm not sure if this addresses your USB problem, but if you just need to run updates you could try
    Windows Update MiniTool 22.04.2022
    Download Windows Update MiniTool - MajorGeeks

    Thanks for the suggestion. The problem is that I need to update my Win 10 either : 1. After booting into it BUT without having any input or 2. Without booting into it.

    Is there any way to do this using the Windows Update MiniTool ?

    I was thinking at somehow editing the Win10 registry from another OS (Kyhi's disk for example) in order to switch automatic updates to ON.

    I'm guessing you mean to say "neither your keyboard nor mouse works" [because all USB ports are disabled] ...?
    You've probably been here:

    but

    Solution 1 may work, though you've surely tried it already.
    Solution 2 is unlikely unless you have a very old computer
    Solution 3 would likely require some input from you, so ... catch 22

    I'd be looking at a repair shop thinking there must be some motherboard connection or other way to get the USB ports enabled.

    Anyone else want to join in?
    Good luck!
