As the title says i have just been offered windows 11 update 22H2 i have never been offered windows 11 before because of hardware limitations, have they changed the requirements for windows 11 or will it not install or worse destroy my windows 10 install? Thanks.

One way to ensure you are not offered Win 11 - or a feature upgrade beyond what you specifiy- is to use the "target feature update" group policy.

It has been reported by some that they have abruptly and unexpectedly been upgrade to Win 11 (which should not be the case- it's opt-in) - which seems to indicate some weakness in the way Windows Update handles this. Perhaps what you are seeing is another.
A screenshot of what you are seeing would be of interest.
Did this occur after a normal automatic sscan for updates, or when you checked manually (Check for Updates)?
After doing a scan for updates and finding updates(that were then installed) the windows 11 upgrade offer disappeared, it appears as though it was probably just a "offer" and had i clicked on it it would have told me i could not.

Think yourself lucky you didn't suffer and unexpected 'forced' upgrade.. which shouldn't happen.

Right click on Command Prompt, run as Administrator,
You can run the program type tpm.msc to check if TPM is enabled and what version it is.
