What did Windows update do
I formatted my nvme ssd and I installed Windows 10 build 22h2 nearly 2 months ago and then I installed a program called Sledgehammer to disable windows updates.
If you modify Windows features and you install .net 3.5 or enable virtualization for Windows sandbox while you are using Sledgehammer then you will get a message saying installing Windows updates when you restart your pc in order to add extra features to Windows. I already did both things nearly 2 months ago.
Yesterday I installed a game and then I restarted my laptop and it said installing Windows update after I restarted and the Windows features were modified. That's weird because no Windows updates were installed for me because I disabled Windows updates. I checked if any programs have been updated on their own. I am using Adobe Reader and it got updated on its own 3 days ago. Also Microsoft Edge got updated on its own 2 days ago it installed Microsoft Edge Webview2 Runtime for me on the same day. Microsoft Edge Webview2 Runtime is 500mb. I didn't restart my laptop after those things were installed and I restarted it yesterday.
I want to ask what caused the installing Windows updates when I restarted the laptop yesterday? I doubt that Adobe Reader or Microsoft Edge or the game can cause that and the only thing which is left is Microsoft Edge Webview2 Runtime. Did that cause the installing Windows updates when I restarted the laptop yesterday?
Also I want to ask is there a log file which mentions what happens when you restart the pc and it says installing Windows updates?
