Confused by over 50 optional updates

This seems pretty crazy. I have over 50 "optional updates" all but one of them is from Intel.

My system is running great, I am not looking to solve any issues.

However, I hate missing out on more performance.

    Any thoughts.

I just finished updating everything else. 22H2 19045.2604 build

I took 3 screens to capture this:

"However, I hate missing out on more performance.

First thought: Why doesn't he just push the button...
Second thought: W11-22623.1325 would love to run on that processor from epic times.

To the original poster I had similar issues , see the rercent thread "Cannot Stop Certain Updates Repeatedly Showing". However in my case they were not listed as optional but mandatory. In the end I made sure the normal windows updates were installed and then temporarily disabled windows update in the hope a fix will be found sometime.

I had the same problem along with thousands & thousands of others, something went wrong in the last MS update ! It has been fixed now !
I fixed mine before MS quietly did a fix so they should be fixed now.
How i fixed mine was deleting the last fix from MS and then reinstalling it !

Is your listed "My Computer" specs up to date, or is the hardware now different in your PC?

What does your Device Manager window look like?

Here's an example on what mine looks like in my Intel 6th generation Dell Precision 3620 Tower.

As you can see, none of the entries have a yellow triangle or red X or other symbol to indicate there's an issue with one or more devices.

    Okay, good.

You should be able to safely ignore those Intel-related optional updates.

This on Windows 11 but you should be able to find/do it on any system !

Find your Windows update page, click "Update History" look for the last update from MS ........
....... scroll down to "Uninstall Updates" then chose the one with the "Uninstall" button !!
After the uninstall go back and install the new version !!
