post #18BUT do I have to re-install all my apps/programs including my precious Office 2016 and Outlook? OH MY GOD.
Of the many gods out there I am sure god doesn't mind.
I am looking forward to hearing how TerriB gets on. An in-place update can be scary for the first time as there is fear of the unknown. But, when it is done, you'll probably think ' Oh, is that it '
Actually the Biblical God (e.g.) says
The third of The Ten Commandments states, "You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain" (Exodus 20:7).
I also hope we'll hear of some progress..
I was subtly suggesting we move on and stay on topic.
No consolation but updating an HP Envy 17 today got KB5022478 without issue. It had gotten KB5021089 back on 12/15/2022.
I am looking forward to how I get on too...lol. My main concern is losing all my installed software. I will of course back up my personal files first but the thought of losing programs terrifies me. I am planning to do the in place update Monday so stayed tuned. I will be using the ISO file.

Had a much larger update install yesterday just fine but those NetFramework ones just will not install and not even when I do a standalone from the Win Catalog.
