    Update to 22H2

I am going to do this shortly - are there certain things I should do first? Disable AV - Windows Defender - don't see where to disable so hope not. Should I be logged on as Admin? Thanks - any other stuff you can think of...

    21H2
If you are on 21H2 at present then the easiest and simplest way to update to 22H2 is through windows Update. If your 21H2 is up to date then you already have the 22H2 features in your system files, but in a dormant state. The upgrade to 22H2 is done by installing a small enablement package that turns on these dormant features. It installs in the same way as a cumulative update, and takes about the same time. No special precaution needed.

You were so right Bree. Did it in a snap. I have been hesitant to do because I see so many people posting problems with it. Guess I'm all set until the next one!! Thanks again.

glad to hear that. These enablement package updates are usually trouble free, but you have to be on a recent version to be able to use them. To upgrade from an older version like 1903 to 22H2 requires a full upgrade of all system files, and that's where problems (with 3rd party AVs, etc.) are more likely.
