Please see attached every time I am trying to update windows.
It just would not update and keeps telling me to retry.

I kept restarting and not doing anything. Stuck at Retry.
Other issue is that it keeps saying Last Checked yesterday (Friday) at 8:29pm. This is not right as I tried to keep checking after that .

If update reset suggested by dalchina doesn't work please try disk cleanup and clean up windows updates:
Open and Use Disk Cleanup in Windows 10
clean up everything, especially "Windows Update", you need to check it and run cleanup as Admin.
still showing Retry on that 1 update after I applied the fix shared here..

you have reset windows update as suggested by dalchina and cleaned up windows updates as per tutorial I linked and it didn't work?

It may could help.
ran the set up file and nothing in the notepad. It ran in a flash and then nothing.
Same issue remain and unable to download updates as it keeps saying "Retry".
