    after restart update does not work


    Windows update never gave an issue until now with the November update.
    4 updates, see picture. One pending restart.
    Restarting (several times) gives a normal restart without any update activity. Further, the malicious removal tool was already successfully installed yesterday.
    Also the shut down/restart button has an indication that it will update. No update is done and no error message appears.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi, try
    Reset Windows Update in Windows 10

    Then check for updates and wait long enough for any update that will install without an update to do so before restarting.

    Please post a screenshot of your Update History after that.

    You have some related policies applied - which are they?

    Thanks dalchine for directing me to the appropriate tutorial. It solved the problem. Several updates took place and I am up-to-date now.
    The reason that I had an issue might be that I applied a system restore which solved another issue but possibly interfered with the Windows update process.
    The policy I use is not allowing Windows update to automatically update drivers.
