Your system description just mentions that you have 1TB internal disks, but not if they're SSDs or HDDs. If they're mechanical disks (HDDs), you would get a significant speed boost (even for Norton) if you could replace the system disk with an SSD. Their prices seem to be coming down now. Some are in the vicinity of $70 per Terabyte.

The tower is old and does not support W11, so it will be replaced with a new one when W10 is no longer viable. We'll see what hardware is current then.

More accurate to say Microsoft may not support the (hardware configuration of the) device ... I've yet to come across any device of any age that doesn't support Windows 11.

Quite a few Atom Windows tablets and 32GB emmc laptops were 32 bit.
