anybody windows 10 seen this message under windows update it reads and i quote we notice we you regular use your device between 12 pm and 4 am would you like for windows to automatically update your active hours to match your activity won't restart for updates during this time it saids turn on

my active hours have always been 8 am to 5 pm i don't want to change it should i dismissed this i wished message can go away but it seems won't for some odd reason

It's meant to help...and give you the option to change that.

Personally I wait for Windows to tell me there are updates... I don't keep checking manually.
    They're not that frequent...

From the huge searchable Tutorial section (do have a look) I found this for you:

Turn On or Off Automatically Adjust Active Hours in Windows 10

It may help you control this behaviour.

well when my hard drive died few years ago my brother had to reinstall windows and get new supply fan etc etc etc

i'm not sure if he always had automatically adjust activity hours for this device based on activity on or off

i guess need to email him and asked does this mean if i have it off it will not automatically check for windows updates anymore and install?

And thank you very much for your reply.

I haven't a clue how that relates to what I posted.

Have you actually read the tutorial?

i've never turned it off and just leave it as it is, no harm no foul.

i'd say with great surety you can enable or disable it at your leisure.

    cheers.

and them telling me want to turn it on different time all of a sudden because it saying i regular use device between 11 am and 4 am at night<-like i said i never seen that message before when check for updates its kindof annoying because it was always on 8am to 5pm active hours

this is how mine looks and always has, it has never turned itself on or off.

as far as active hours go it would be based and calculated on computer usage hours, pretty clever things these dang fangled computer thingamabobbys
