    List of updates history empty

    Hello,
    List of updates history empty.
On 11 August was the last update (KB5016616) installed, then the list of updates was full.
Today, 14 September, installed an update KB5017308 and some .Net 3.5 & 4.8 update. Opened the list of updates, only these two were in the list, all previous updates listed gone.
    Is it OK. ?
    Answers will be appreciated.
    Thanks.

Some things, like maybe an In-Place upgrade (repair install), will erase the WU list.
To double check... open Powershell as Admin and run this command...

    get-hotfix

...and see if that list is empty as well.

You can also check the list in your Control Panel.

Note: you are a feature update behind: my build is
    19044.2006

I seem to recall you may be installing each update manually. Is that so?

Resetting Windows Update will clear the History list too. Yes, it's OK, it should only be the Update History that has been cleared. You should still see them all listed in Control Panel if you click the 'Uninstall updates' link.

    Hello,
    Thanks for all the answers.
    1. In the "Uninstall updates list", I see most of the updates, not all of them.
    2. Ran that "get-hotfix" command, again there is the list of updates, but not all of them.
    3. I am not going to start installing all the updates again, this will bring the system far back and lot of hours work.
    4. Ran sfc scan, everything is OK.
    5. In the 'Settings' windows update, there is a green "V" sign, saying system was checked for updates today, and its updated.
    6. I also ran the "WAU manager", it found only a new security update for windows defender.
And finally, the worst if I leave it as is, it will continue to list new updates as it did with those two mentioned in my firs post.
    Your opinions will be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Motim.

As long as you know your build number, and Windows Update functions normally, the Update History is just one view of how you got to that build number. Whether every single step is represented is somewhat irrelevant, so I wouldn't worry about it.

    However, you don't use WU.

A couple of reasons that the record in Settings can be cleared have been given; do you recall either of those occurring?

    a. You have had two statements about how the Update History may be cleared.

Can you see them in the replies you've had?
    Do you understand them?

    b. If so, do you remember if either of those two has happened?

    Hello and thanks again.
Sorry again, I still do not understand your question.
After installing an update, I take a screenshot of the updates history list.
So I will try and attach two screenshots : one with the list after installing KB5016616, the other is the new one after installing KB501738 and some .Net update.
    Thanks again

The two ways you might have cleared the Windows Update list are given in post #4

Has either of those two things happened?

I'm sorry this is so hard...
