Nobody has suggested that you do.
The references to the uninstall list were merely about using it as a convenient method of seeing a list of updates.
The list you are looking at within Settings, Updates often loses entries.
Don't worry about it.
Don't even bother looking at it. It's pretty useless.
If you want to see a list of updates then look at the uninstall list.
If an update is not shown there then just accept that a later update has removed it from the list because it has become uninstallable, overtaken by events.
In a few cases, updates are given their own entry in the Programs & features list itself.
You do not have a problem.
