    WUTM Succeeded with errors (0x00240003)

I get these errors when updating, sometimes restart helps, but next time it happens again... Message: Downloading updates: Succeeded with errors (0x00240003). To add: I have enabled metered connection in Windows.

    Thanks for help.

    Hello @empleat,

I have noticed that you have NOT had ANY replies, so I thought that I would try and help.

Have you looked at the Event Logs around the time of the problem to see if that sheds any more light on it ?

Also, have a look at this => Why did I get error 0x00240003? - Solution

I also searched Google for the error code (0x00240003), and there are quite a few entries relating to it.

    I hope this helps.

Another issue, automatic updates are resumed. I have set metered connection both in control panel and in registry for Ethernet and Default. It used to work, before I did repair update and I changed it back, hmm... I don't want automatic updates, it once deleted windows folder LUL!

I swear I have so many small issues, every app, everything I try to use. Always some annoying problems! Nothing ever works as is supposed to...

Methods for PROPERLY disabling Windows Update (if you really need to) have been described many times here- and there is a tutorial and a draft tutorial covering a different method.

    You have Pro.
A far better way to take control as you have paid for that is to make use of it.

Set updates to 'Notify' in Group Policy. That way you get a notification.. and if you don't accept the update, it's not even downloaded if you select the right option. I've used it for years.
