Problem with Updating Security Update - Error code: (0x8007000d)

Hi guys.. I have a problem updating security updates. I get this error when trying to update:

"Some update files are missing or have problems. We'll try to download the update again later. Error code: (0x8007000d)"

I ran "additional troubleshooters" to try to fix the issue but it didnt fix anything. What do I do?

    Use Windows Update Troubleshooter.

    • Right-click on Start button and pick Settings
    • Go to Update & Security > Troubleshoot
    • Click on Windows Update and select Run the troubleshooter

    Download Windows updates manually.

    • Go to the official Microsoft update catalog;
    • Enter a specific update code, for example, KB4481031
    • Select the correct version and click Download
    • Click on the link and Windows will update your computer

Resetting the Windows Update components can usually solve these types of issues.

If in particular the last step in Freebooter's post doesn't help...

    - what does 'Detailed information' show? (bottom of your screenshot)
    - as per forum prompt.. what is your full build number?
    - which update is failing?

The first thing to do is to use the tutorial.

    Then retry Windows Update.

    KISS principle.

    If that doesn't work see
    KB5013942 failing to install

As for download links, now we have the KB numbers... these are at the bottom of the relevant articles in the News section- which you can find by searching the News section for the KB number.. here's one:
    KB5015807 Windows 10 19042.1826, 19043.1826, 19044.1826
    - the other
    KB5013942 Windows 10 19042.1706, 19043.1706, 19044.1706

    - links are after the main text.

You only need to try downloading these manually (they will be a lot bigger than what you'd get using Windows Update) if there's some sort of communication problem using Windows Update.

The one I keep referring to at the end of Freebooter's post. The link to Brink's tutorial.

Appreciate that but with due respect I will NOT reset my computer and having to go through the hassle of backing up then restoring my files.

If there were a way to "reset" my PC without losing my files I would consider that.

But why not istall the needed updates before even talking about resetting? Wouldnt that be a better, faster option?
