Keep the confirmation ID you get from robo-lady.. I'm gonna add that to WDT's restore function eventually.
Missed your post, sorry. I was typing in the numbers as explained here Activate Windows 7 by Phone - Windows 7 Help Forums

Phone activation was fine (so I'm licensed on my 8 Pro key now) but I didn't record the numbers.

What do you think? I can do it again if you are interested but obviously I don't want to publish my key.

No, it's cool - I'll do some testing on that restore function in the meantime - just thought it may be handy for you for future reference.

Well I'll save the tokens anyway. I'm doing a lot of re-installs lately anyway and out of the 8 blocks I only managed to get 2 right first time without pressing * to repeat it.

I'm still interested what MS have to say about sometimes booting (the same disk image) as a VM and sometimes booting it native and what the lifetime of a device is when it is a VM.

    Hi there

    @Superfly

Your Windows validation tool is fine but I only get a non expandable half screen -- something in .NET or VBA.

Nice tool if you could fix it.

    Cheers

Thanx Jimbo, will fix the resizing issue.

    Edit:
    Fixed. Please latest build here.

PS: Clicking on the key toggles masking it...

    Hi there

Thanks for having a go but it's still not working on my system -- same error as before

I'm using a 1920 X 1080 display with size set to 125%. I think somehow you've got some fixed sizing somewhere. I'm not a coder so I don't know how this stuff works but surely these popup boxes should be if possible user re-sizeable otherwise different size screens and scaling will probably cause weird effects.

    Cheers

Thnx for testing, the design of that window does not lend itself to min/max but here is a sizable version...:)

What I need to do is get the length of the longest line on the window and resize the window accordingly - I'll do that in the next build - (the initial problem we had was to do with autoscaling based on font rather than DPI )

    Hi there.

    Thanks

I think a lot of software was designed with fixed pixel nrs or assumed specific dpi's for certain screens.

However with some of the mega large screens available (thinking 4K yet !!!) a lot of those assumptions that worked previously won't cut it now.

I can't wait to get my hand on a new 4K screen -- prices are still way to high -- although dropping the cheapest I've seen is around 1200 EUR BEFORE TAX. !!!

I've unlimited internet so getting 4K content won't be a problem !!! but I've better uses for 1200 EUR at the moment. !!!!

    Cheers

PPIPro is the old name for Surface Hub (i.e. whiteboard )

I'm not sure what the S-suffix is for... but only applies to Volume licences for Pro, yet there is an OEM version for Enterprise in addition to Volume (No retail for either.)

Interesting to see the Mobile editions as well.

It has not asked me for a key since my initial install. I just sign in with my MS Outlook account.
