Image restores all I take it?
I only have 3 things to reinstall when and if I do a reset. Trend Micro, Epson, CCleaner. Not a lot of Aps to worry about. I would like a better back up than one drive. It`s permanently off because when you have 5000 plus pics, it was going to take over 24 hours. I appreciate the information.

OneDrive only backs up your own files.
A System image backs up the whole of the selected disk/partition.

"Image restores all I take it?"
Yes, restoring an image restores all aspects of the selected disk/partition.
My own files are on a separate drive so my system images only cover my OS, applications, user profiles, … and are therefore only about 20GB.

Just for example, on this computer, I image the whole of the disk that Windows is installed on [the C:\ drive and all the little partitions that Windows installations create, see Disk mgmt]
If my Windows was fatally corrupted, I'd probably choose to restore just the C:\ drive since I've never had any of the other partitions corrupted. I could choose to restore all the partitions and it would hardly take any longer.

In addition to system imaging, I use fairly simple file copying to back my own files up [I don't use OneDrive]. That's about 350GB of files.
    - Even with regular System images, you'd still want to consider separate, more frequent backing up of your own files even if your own files were on the same disk as your OS.
    - That's because you are likely to be changing your own files a lot more quickly than you change Windows.
    - I do a thorough manual backup of my own files almost every week to an external drive.
    - I back up my own files manually to one of my three other computers almost every few days.
    - My key files are all MSOffice files and I have a VBA script that backs them up to my second internal disk every time the files are edited.
    - I backup most of my own files automatically [batch file] to a 400GB SD card that sits in my otherwise unused SD card slot. I have set this up in Task scheduler to run hourly. I added this one after a disk failed suddenly [about four years ago]. I recovered almost everything but lost about six hours work from the night before.

    All the best,
    Denis

This computer is quite old 2014, but very reliable. My One Drive comes with a 1TB capacity with Microsoft 365 purchase every year. Wish it was more useful. I definitely need a local back up hard drive or SD card.

Back on the resetting reinstall of 10 and keeping files. I`ll try it later on today and see how it goes with updates. If it fails again I`ll try the image and media creation route.

Good luck. But there are many such procedures with similar names [see below]. I think that by "resetting reinstall" you mean the Repair install procedure that I gave you a link for. I do hope so as I think it's your last chance short of reinstalling Windows.

Our discussion about system images was about what I suggest you do in the future.
    - You can "fix" things by restoring a system image made when the fault did not exist.
    - With no existing system image, it cannot help you fix your current fault.

    Similar names for things
Amongst the many similarly-named procedures are
    Clean Install - TenForumsTutorials
    Custom Install - TenForumsTutorials

    Refresh Windows 10 - TenForumsTutorials

Know anything about the NOVO button, or the computer mode button that`s just above my power button? I thought it would go into recovery when pushed with power off. But it just showed a countdown timer.

Update: Have not really done anything but let window update try to update. Still failing! I also noticed while Windows Update is running my computer is very slow in response to any action. Going to services.msc and stopping Windows Update is the only solution. I make sure to stop it every time I start my computer now. Super-fast then! Works as usual.

Haven't done that yet Denis. Working on a backup system I just bought. So if I want to do a totally new install and save nothing, I will have my files, pics, secure.
