    How to stop upgrade Windows 11 automatically


    My cousin wants to stop upgrade Windows 11 automatically?

    The upgrade should not be automatic. It is meant to be optional, with a link you have to click to start the download and install.

    But if you want to make sure the PC is classed as 'not ready for 11', then you could turn off TPM in the bios.

    Wouldn't that inhibit BitLocker Encryption from being easily used in Windows 10?
    Otherwise you would need a USB drive for the Encryption Keys every time you start the computer.

    That wouldn't be an issue if the installed Windows 10 was Home. If it was an issue you could try turning off Secure Boot instead, I suppose.

    But as I pointed out, it shouldn't upgrade to 11 without your permission anyway. You are supposed to choose 'Download and install' before it does anything.

    Windows Update has not even checked for compatibility on my Windows 10 Home.

    Updated I did block Windows 11 upgrade in gpedit.msc even though I have TPM 2.0 enabled in BIOS on my computer
