Any update newer than 19043.1288 fails

Hello, I am on Any update newer than 19043.1288 fails-image.png

    I tried both KB5006738

    and
    KB5007186

(this one keeps trying to install everytime)

and they have both failed like 20 times, every time it reaches like 88% or 90%+ updating (always same percentage) and says couldn't complete the updates, rolling back

    Shows this error 0x800f0922

Any update newer than 19043.1288 fails-image.png

    How to fix???

Hi, how do you fix that?

    Options:
a: this error number has been seen by those who have removed Edge. Have you?
    or
b: perform an in-place upgrade repair install which keeps all progs and data
    or
c: wait for @Tekkie Boy to help you with precise analysis (which can be exceedingly iterative and lengthy).

Start with basics, try a SFC /SCANNOW with Command line in Administrator mode

I cannot do that or install in-place upgrade, it will **** up all my optimizations and tweaks that i've done for windows i basically have to start from 0 again

I'll try the reset update thing

And thank you very much for your reply.

You are denying yourself routine and normal repair options.

    This is what I have:

    - and I'm not worried about an in-place upgrade repair install.

You should ensure you have the means to readily reapply your tweaks - e.g. a documented set of reg files.

    I take it

***** = 'mess' as in 'mess up'. Is that correct?

This shouldn't destroy any optimisations, it will just replace any damaged system files. The worst case scenario is an in-place-update which will kill EVERYTHING you've customised. Have you tried any DISM repairs?

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    DISM /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup

@dalchina has already given good advice.

But without looking at the log files, every well-intentioned command in the command prompt is like playing the lottery.

If you want to share the files, open the Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Windows\logs and then copy and paste the CBS folder on your desktop, zip it and then upload it on wetransfer.com or catbox.moe and share the link here.

Alternatively, you can also use OneDrive or Google Drive. But then you have to make sure that the files are accessible.

Possibly getting the symptoms of a faulty SSD. Unless it's third-party anti-virus interference, it's more likely to be a bad drive.
