The last Fixlist, after that we are done.

Close all Apps incl. Chrome and then run the fixlist:
WeTransfer - Send Large Files & Share Photos Online - Up to 2GB Free

    attach the Fixlog.txt.

    Edit:

If you have run the Fixlist, do not install any new software until the next update attempt.

Make a last backup with RegBak before you run the update.

When done, run the update as described:

    Perform a clean boot:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...a-a97a1807f3dd

Pull out all external devices that are not needed for the upgrade.

For example: printers, scanners, hardware dongles, programming interfaces, USB hubs, USB wifi/ network adapters, USB dongles, hard drives, hard drive docking station etc.

Then cut the internet connection for the upgrade!

After that plug in the USB stick created with the Media Creation Tool.

Open the Windows Explorer and start the setup.exe on the USB Stick to start the Upgrade.

If the upgrade fails again, please create a Logs.zip package with the SetupDiag Tool and upload it on Google Drive and share the Link here.

    Enjoy the Trip.

    @Tekkie Boy

    Hello my friend.

Sorry for the intrusion, as I have no other way to communicate with you here.

When you get a moment, please look at Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade - Am I remembering incorrectly that what I wrote is also suggested for repair installs? This is your area of expertise, so I wanted to ask you. Thanks.

    Fixlog
Ready to try - I rebooted after that Last Fixlog
Use the same USB we have been using for the clean boot?
Just noted I have been running Regbak not Regbak64 - is there a difference?

Have you created a registry backup with RegBak?

If so, use the same USB stick that you created earlier and try the Upgrade again.

If you made the backup with Regbak, it doesn't matter.
