Hash Programme To Use For Windows Updates ?

I have a few computers all a bit slow and windows updates can take about an hour to instal for a 600mb file.
I have one machine of similar spec that takes two hours which I would like to speed up.
I would in future like to download the update file via windows update catalog but I get various warnings whether I use Firefox or Edge saying its not a secure download via http. As this is my only option I do this, but I am looking for a simple hash programme to compare the file hash. I have used the one from Nirsoft and Igorware Hasher are there any others ?
I am unable to use Virustotal to get the hash for very large files because for this latest Windows Update I was asked to confirm the upload and I am on a slow connection and uploading would take a long time hence my use of the other programmes.

For some MS unknown reason at the point of the download in HTTPS the browser been asked to fall back to HTTP for the transfer.

In ms catalog the string in the name of the download is the hash of your file. you need a hash calculator to verify the file.

Or you could use one of the fastest machine as a local distribution point. It would cut back on download usage, And cut a lot on download time of other local computers, but wont change anything in each respective installation time required.

In the end I settled for "hashmyfiles" from Nirsoft at HashMyFiles: Calculate MD5/SHA1/CRC32 hash of files
I knew that the download file incorporates the hash file too, so easy and quick to do the comparison.
I have never used powershell for stuff preferring command prompt which I am used too.

I thought I would do a test by installing Novembers update again on the "two hour" machine by reverting my disk with back up software to just before Windows Updates and installed the update directly via the file from the windows catalog.

Instead of taking two hours it was installed in less than 30 minutes !

I am thinking of using a USB stick in future to place the update file which I can then use between the machines.
At present I instal via Windows Update one machine at a time which is obviously time consuming as each takes an hour.
Can anyone see any possible problems in using the catalog to update Windows ?
