If only the SSD is not recognized, it indicates more of an SSD problem than a motherboard problem.
Swap the Sata port with another hard drive.
If the next time the hard drive fails that you connect to the port to which the SSD was previously connected, it indicates a motherboard problem with the Sata port.
But if the SSD fails again, it indicates a problem with the SSD because it is connected to a different port.
