Windows Update and Restore Points

My most recent restore point is listed as Windows Update 0n 03/11/21.
Scan for affected programs reveals this was an ASUSUSTeK driver issued by the laptop manufacturer.
I did not install it so it was presumably installed automatically although I received no notification before or after.
My puzzle is that it is not listed in Update History although plenty of similar ones are.
Is there any explanation for this behaviour?

Windows 10 Home 21H1 on Asus Vivobook.

Driver update stated in affected programs in windows update is :
ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC (System) 25/10/2021 3.0.13.10 installed on 03/11/21.
Two similar drivers listed in update history - see screenshot.
So it may be autonomous but not always independent of windows update.
No other driver updates listed since 25/10/21.

i don't trust Microsoft drivers. Are you using ASUS Live Update and do you have ASUS Live Update software on your laptop? ASUS Live Update should automatically download and update driver or drivers

Answer is yes and yes - see screenshots.
It's hidden inside MyAsus which is an app - I never use apps, only programs so couldn't find it at first.
I still find it strange that it was listed in System Restore as a Windows Update but not listed in update history.
Especially when some other Asus drivers were so listed.
