    Yes, thanks. I know about ShieldsUp.

    It's, in the first instance, an ISP check.
    If the ISP lets it through, it's a modem check.
    If the modem lets it through, it's a router check.
    If the router lets it through, it's a computer ports check.

    My ISP does not let it through. All the outside world sees of my computer is the ISP's external IP & data I send out.

    True, but I'm glad my ISP isn't filtering the internet for me.
    I'm sure Verizon filters the seriously bad actors, but other than that, I like "seeing" what's out there.

    It is not filtering what I can see.
    It is blocking illegitimate external attempts to probe my hardware characteristics.

    That is what that ShieldsUp thing is testing for; it has no other purpose.
