    Hi Krollo,

I don't understand how your retail licensing mode turned to volume.

Go in Windows activation, change your installation key for the one your received.

From there, if there's anything going wrong Call Microsoft Right there... With the error screen opened before you.

They won't even require your proof of purchase. And will fix your activation issue. (spending a little time on the Phone pays)

And If there is major issues regarding your activation process, they will also be able to advise you in the best direction to solve the problem.

I never hesitate to call them on a new activation, because, It's not "me" who has a problem...

Hi @MaloK, as mentioned I bought a digital licence and when you buy digital licence via MS Store app using an MS account, the licence is bound to the account. No actual product key will be sent to you, not even in the email receipt or Order History. :)

    Another incident:
    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...9-e050787032ea

Seeing this is actually a known issue in the Microsoft activation servers (and particularly those who bought from the MS Store), the resolution was still to use the generic Pro key to downgrade the 'stray' Enterprise (which is de-activated anyway) so the licence technically never becomes volume.

And yep, I re-confirm I am all activated now in Win10 Pro since the past hour. :)

Thanks for the explanation ! I mostly deal with oem and volume licensing.

And for the moment was able to deal with it. Without the MS account.

But still... Happy you got your Windows on track !

Sure no worries, new learning for all. I too prefer the OEM discs and this is the first time I tried out a digital licence with an MS Acct. I know for a fact my Home edition is OEM since it came pre-installed. Whether the digital licence purchased from MS Store is Retail or not is something I will probably discover at a later time haha. I'm hoping it's Retail so it's transferrable to a future laptop.

Yep, something weird I was replying to post #9 and there where no other post following this at the moment in My browser.

And they all appeared right after I posted.

It's gotta be transferable and retail at the price you paid. They wouldn't sell you an OEM license. Maybe a good reason to test Microsoft customer service so you sleep better. The order doesn't specify it's Retail?

Naw even the Order History within my MS Acct is pretty bland. It can cause quite the confusion.
