PC Crashes trying to install KB5006670

This PC has had a problem installing updates for a while. So much so I put it on a shelf last year and decided to wait for a major update. I tried it again and it still crashes (reboot loop) while trying to install KB5006670. I even did a clean install and still got the same result when trying to install this update.

    The Windows Specifications currently reads

    Edition Windows 10 Pro
    Version 21H1
    Installed on 10/18/2021
    OS build 19043.928
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.551.0

I am at my wits end. Does anyone have some pointers?

Have you tried to run the Troubleshooter?

you can also try to download the KB5006670 and try to install it manually:

    Catalogue Microsoft Update

if there is any dump file in this location, share it:
    C:\Windows\Minidump

I did, but it found nothing. One odd thing. What it had been doing is as soon as I booted up it was trying to install KB5006670. I even disabled my internet connection, but it continued to try to install. I suppose it had already gotten it downloaded before the last crash. I then tried to pause updates, but it was grayed out (disabled). Kept installing and then crashing.

After reading your reply I tried booting again. I could see that I could not pause the install of KB5006670, so instead of waiting for it to crash I tried to reboot into SAFE mode (Shift+Restart). When it restarted I got the blue screen with updating windows do not turn off the computer. That was new. I decided to wait and it actually installed KB5006670.

I will mark this as solved, but I really don't know what did it.

So retarting in safe mode helped in installing the KB5006670 !
    Good news.
