Make sure that windows 11 won't ever get offered via windows update

    Hello,

I just did a quick windows update check and got this message, now does anyone here has any suggestions on how to ensure Windows 11 will never get downloaded?

Also, I want to be able to get windows 10 21H2 etc as well when they come. (I plan to stick with Windows 10 until 2025 if possible).

    Cheers

    Try
How to Specify Target Feature Update Version in Windows 10

Also the prompt to install Win 11 requires user acceptance.

Thank you, I did see that tutorial, I guess the next question is, what would happen if someone set it to 21H2 (thinking that the next feature update of Windows 10 would be called the same thing)?

Anyhow, thank you for the heads up regarding needing acceptance. And I'll take a look at your second link now :)

    Thank you again :)

(Ok the laptop's not Win 11 compatible - I have Win 11 on a VM. The most obvious thing is what you can no longer do with the taskbar that we're used to doing).

You have Pro, as I do. I also have group policy set to
    - defer feature updates for 365 days
    - notify of updates (so I choose when- and if)
