    Windows 10 update version vs Windows 11 update version


    Does Windows 10 users upgrade/update version every 2 to 3 years?

    Does Windows 11 users upgrade/update version every once a year?

    Update what?
    Win 10 has had features updates twice a year for the last few years. There is a suggestion that this will continue or be changed to just one per year.
    Win 11 updates are not known but it is expected these will be once per year.
    Monthly Patch Tuesday (or maybe Patch Thursday) are expected to continue.

    No, Windows 11 feature update cycle is known. Once a year feature updates, each to have 24 months support. Windows 10 will continue as it is, twice yearly feature updates, each supported for 18 months.

    Microsoft said:
    New versions of Windows 11 will be released once per year...
