Well for me, no sign of it in optional updates. It is as though w11 does not exist.

They say that it won't be a forced update, but until when? It is possible to stop the update from Gpedit (Pro/business) and for Home edition this reg tweak should work. Will have to wait when it comes out to see... To be tested on the 5th.

Otherwise, disabling TPM2.0 should be good too, but we never have a clear picture with MS. So, your question makes sense.

Blocking Windows 11 in Regedit (PS ISE/Admin)

To stay on 21H1 and to avoid Win 11: Tested 19043.1288: Not stopping the 21H2 cab file, restarts to 19044.1288. Not a big deal.

They can't. Unlike Windows 10, you cannot upgrade to Windows 11 from Windows 7 and keep installed apps. You can only do what is effectively a clean install with an option to keep personal files. And you probably won't get a digital licence by 'upgrading' either. Now that Window 7 is out of support MS no longer feel the need to support that upgrade path. Here's what you see if you try....



Anyway, any PC that came with Windows 7 installed is too old to be anywhere near meeting the W11 hardware requirements.

If you really must try 11 on such a machine, then to keep apps and get it activated with a digital licence you'd need to upgrade to Windows 10 first. Then you'd need to use a workaround to bypass the Windows 11 installer's hardware checks.
