    Windows 10_Fails_on_update__KB5005565......??

    Hi Guys,
Can someone advise me how to fix this problem?
I am trying to update Windows 10 version
    21H1 (OS Build 19043, 1202
    But get this error message
    “Windows 10 update Error encountered.
There were some problems installing updates, but we will try again later.
If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x800f0905.”

The update in question is this one: KB5005565

I have followed all these instructions on this web site:
Windows Update KB5005565 fails to install Windows 10 version 21H1 [Solved]

But it does not fix my problem!
Has anyone here got any other suggestion?
    Thank You.

Mine failed too. It's MS at its finest (really worst). And btw I doubt those threads will give you any specific help. It's always the same generic suggestions when WU fails, with the consensus being to repair Windows or whatever over a stupid monthly update.

That's because past attempts to diagnose and find the specific magic fix everyone expects someone to know and help them to find for free are either extremely time consuming or unproductive.

    Look at it like this.
Do you want the frustration of the thread going on for day after day with no resolution?
Do you expect someone to spend days of their free time trying to help you solve this for free?

Don't blame the forum. Rather blame weaknesses in Windows.

Again and again an hour or so running an in-place upgrade repair lets you get on with life.

Do you now see this in a different perspective?

Or you can just give up on Windows Updates, of course. Your choice.

    Hi Guys,
I thought I would update my original post.
I have been looking around on the net to solve this problem,
and it seems like a lot of people have the same problem.
I tried all the recommended options out there.
    Nothing has worked for me.
Some of them will bust your windows forever.
So, I suggest you make an image of your drive before trying some of them.
I downloaded the CAB file from:
    https://www.catalog.update.microsoft...px?q=KB5005565
    and did a manual install:
    CMD run as admin
    dism /Online /Add-Package /PackagePath:"C:\TEMP_C\Windows10.0-KB5005565-x64.cab"
    I got the same error.
I think its MS problem! I think they have written a duffer. It’s not my PC.
I am wasting my time in trying to fix it.
I will shelve trying to fix it and wait for the next update to come out and hope that is a little more fruitful than this current one.
I will go and mess about with my Windows 11 now.
    See you Guys…….

Please confirm you have tried an in-place upgrade repair install. Thanks.

The update works for most people- read about it in the thread per update per build in the News section.

To analyse the problem is awkward and time consuming - see your update logs.

But hey, you might get very lucky and find the next cumulative update works.... or not..

    Thanks, dalchina for the Info.
I will leave it until the next Update.
It’s not like it’s critical to do it!
I posted the update so anyone wanting to do the CAB file
Update could have a go with that and see if it worked for them.
It was a rated on the net as a good goer.

Advice like this is why people's computers get screwed up. It's a lousy monthly update. It's obviously got issues.

Why do people feel the need to post this? The thread is about a problem, others say they have the same issue. Just saying yours installed helps no one.

@bru - thank you for your criticism, which seems rather baseless. You're entitled to your opinion of course.

So, then please take the same sort of initiative as Tekkie boy has done a few times, and actually help by providing specific guidance as to how the issue particular to this PC may be resolved.

I leave the ball in your court.
