I put 2 printers over the network cable, other shared printers will go as well, when I buy more cables!
I no longer have the will to deal with these updates.
Unfortunately that is not an option for me. The two printers I use most have no capacity to be connected to a network. They can only be connected via USB so running them from a print server is the only option.

And that has given me a thought. I have a couple of spare WiFi routers with USB ports. I wonder whether it might be possible to use them to put the printers on the network, and if that would get around the point and print issues?

I think that would work. And doing so will make the printer a network printer (accessed through a local IP port).
You may need to tweak settings on some routers.

    Broken Printer Again

I am back to being broken again after the H2 update. Where can I download the win32spl.dll V1237? Current version after the latest update is V1320. Anything is worth a try at this point.

I experimented with my old USB-only printer over the weekend and could not get this to work on my (not that old) router with USB ports. There were no settings under USB to make an IP like in the Wiki.
    So... depends on the router.

Today I just got offered KB5007253 in Windows Update as an optional update preview.
    And I am on 10.0.19044.1348.
    So.... should work.

Did it fix any shared printing issues for you?

    I haven't installed it yet.
I've converted my work printers to network printers.
I've got the old USB-only printer hooked up to another PC by USB (It hasn't run out of toner yet!). When I get time I will update all the PCs to the most recent version, undo the old hacks, and then see if I can Add-A-Printer from here through that new Host (Server) PC.
I'll let y'all know what happens.
