They've done it again... network printing is borked on all our computers today.

FFAS, this is getting beyond the pale. What are these idiot code monkeys at Microsoft doing?

Any help in KB5006670 - Network Printer Problems Again This Month - Windows 10 Support for this month's CU KB fiasco?

What's going on? What Update did you install before the newest aggravation?
I installed KB5007186 today and was able to print from a client PC afterward.
KB5006670 has been installed for about a month.

I'll have to have a look.

Two computers did an update overnight, and after they restarted, no printing. What I found was that the v1270 of win32spl.dll that I installed to fix the problems, had been replaced with v1320). I got my original copy and overwrite it and it fixed the printing problem.

Long term our issue is that Epson has not released a type 4 driver for the two printers that are giving us the trouble. Without that, we are always going to have to use the vulnerable print spooler.

Yes, the spooler file replacement is a workaround that will probably need to be done after most cumulative updates. It will be a recurring chore. It's that or Network Printers I'm afraid.

I can confirm that the problem recurs when installing the 5007186 Update on a Client PC (Not on the Host PC). Happened here today. Had to replace the spooler file again, and printing is back to normal. And you have to take possession of the file and give permissions again to do it.

I have taken possession of the whole System32 folder on all the clients. I'm also going to write a vbs script that replaces win32spl.dll and put it in the Startup folder so that it loads every time the clients are restarted.

That should work. It would be good to know if it does. Keep us informed.

And i am a club member!
I put 2 printers over the network cable, other shared printers will go as well, when I buy more cables!
I no longer have the will to deal with these updates.
