How do I add a Windows Update icon to the Taskbar?

    How do I add a Windows Update icon to the Taskbar?


    I've created a Windows Update shortcut on the desktop using the right click and New Shortcut ms-settings:windowsupdate method, but the Properties of this shortcut does not a Pin To Taskbar item and there is no Shortcut tab or Target field. Is there a way to add the Shortcut tab?

    Pin to Taskbar, Pin to Start, add to All apps, add to Quick Launch, assign a keyboard shortcut to, or move this shortcut to where you like for easy use.

    I used the manual version but instead of a "Shortcut" tab I have a "Web Document" tab.

    If you mean you haven't succeeded, have you tried downloading the prepared shortcut?
    If the tutorial doesn't work for you, post a comment under the tutorial.

    Recreate the shortcut from scratch using "explorer ms-settings:windowsupdate" as the command and see if you get the "Pin to taskbar" option.
