Dell Laptop keeps asking for BitLocker Recovery Key after update

Have a Dell Inspiron laptop with Win-10 Home and automatic updates turned on.

After a recent update, I cannot log on to the machine. Keeps asking for a Recovery Key and we've not done anything to encrypt the drive.

What is Microsoft trying to do?

Tried to uninstall last updates but cannot, some error that it can't be done
Tried to reset Windows without losing data but it asks for same BitLocker Key

Any advice?

Maybe that Windows Updates causing bugs. Try How to Do a Repair Install of Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade

If you can not log in and if you can not reset or refresh your PC, do you have spare or extra PC? I would clean install Windows 10 How to Clean Install Windows 10

Can only be done once one logs in to win-10 isn't it?
I cannot even get to the login screen


The last option I have is to restore machine to factory settings but then I lose all Data and I'm trying to avoid that

Are you able to back up the data via Windows PE?
