How to Opt-out of windows insider program?

I'm still getting windows 11 preview builds even after leaving the the insider program and there's no way to skip those builds. after few days they'll be downloading automatically

how can I stop getting preview builds? I'm on 21H1 19043.1151

Hi, I had that problem.. please see
The final step additional to leaving the Insider program was to follow the instructions on stopping Win 11 being downloaded here:
Windows 11 preview build 22000.51 released - here's how to download
To stop getting new Windows 11 Insider preview builds, you can follow these steps.

    1. Open Settings.
    2. Navigate to Update & security and then select the Windows Insider program settings.
    3. At this screen, you should now enable "Stop getting preview builds".
    4. Select “Stop Insider Preview Builds”
    5. Restart Windows when prompted.

I also made sureSoftwareDistribution\Download was empty.

Thank you very much for troubling to reply.

You need to clear the distribution folder, and then follow the procedure I gave you.

Also see the thread I posted and consider setting Group Policy such that preview builds are not received.

If you want to go back to Windows 10 then you'll need to do a clean install. Windows 11 is insider only but you can unregister your account I assume but updates will still be for insider OS.
