    unable to update

    Got another one
I got this message after an update so hit the "check for updates" button but it spins for a few seconds and reverts back to the same screen. In windows security it's all green ticks so I don't know what it is that's required.

    version 1909 - build 18363. 1556

Hi, this occurs when there are no more security updates (your build is old) and no upgrade (feature update) is available.

The latter may occur for two reasons.
    a. You have blocked or deferred Windows update
    Have you done so?
Are you using a metered connection?

    b. There's a compatibility hold on your PC imposed by MS.

I suppose it may also be that WU is broken in some other way.

Your graphics card appears to be from 2016 or so; your MOB from 2019, so not 'old'.

What does the Windows update troubleshooter report, including any 'More details'?

Please post a screenshot of your Update History.

When was the last time you received an update?

    Thanks.

    Thanks for the replies,
    Yep, re-booted several times
No block or deferral on Microsoft update
    No metered connection
Update history here (image 1)and the troubleshooter came up with "issue not shown" in all lines but in details I found this, (image2)

Right-click on the Start button --> Windows PowerShell
Run the following and post the output:
    Code:
    (new-object -com "Microsoft.Update.Session").CreateupdateSearcher().Search("IsInstalled=0 and IsHidden=1").Updates|FT -property Title

Silverlight should not be important security and quality fixes.
    Try the following:
Reset Windows Update in Windows 10

    Thanks Matthew,
I copied/pasted/activated the bat file from Shawn's post and then tried to update again. It showed percentages on the way and looked like it was going to work but after a few minutes I got this:

It shows "Error 0xc1900223". Google found the following article, which I cannot make sense of due to my poor English reading comprehension.

Fix Error 0xc1900223 When Installing Windows 10 Updates

I've tried those fixes previously with no luck.
