My Desktop won't run Win11... So what!
I have a desktop PC that I built in 2012 and running Windows 10 flawlessly.
I have an Intel i5-3570K CPU with 4 cores running at 4Ghz and has 16 Gig on Memory.
I'm not a gamer or programmer and use my PC just for internet access and email.
The Microsoft Windows 11 test program when it was available said I couldn't run Windows 11 because the motherboard didn't have TMP. Oh gee.
So I looked to consider a new motherboard and an i5-11500 and the prices have soured.
So I did some testing of my existing system and proved to myself I didn't need Windows 11 and build a new PC cause this almost 10 year old tower PC is perfectly good until October 14th, 2025 when MS plans to stop updating Windows 10.
So no upgraded PC in my future.
I do have a new Laptop that is good to go with Windows 11 when the time comes so at least I will enjoy the best of both Windows 10 and Windows 11 when it is formally released the end of this year.
Just my thoughts about the new Win11 Fad.
