    Two registry entries for excluding drivers in updates


    I have set my group policy to exclude drivers in Windows updates.
    This adds the value ExcludeWUDriversinQualityUpdates to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate.

    Whilst I was looking at setting something else I also discovered the same value in another key..
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UX\Settings

    I read this: Enable or Disable Driver Updates in Windows Update in Windows 10 but this UX setting is not affected by changing the group policy.

    Hi, have you compared the reg file in that tutorial?
    Two registry entries for excluding drivers in updates-1.jpg

    If you have found that group policy and the reg file do different things, I suggest you comment under the tutorial, with reference to this thread.

Garbled Registry Entries

Hello, Was looking at registry to make a backup of some entries and saw the following garbled entries. Was wondering what this was all about. Recently, my machine, after latest windows updates, has been having issues waking up after Hibernate....
I have found hundreds of duplicate entries in Windows 10 registry, is there a way to remove them simply? Just a few: 166419
