Why Are Download Files From Windows Update Catalog HTTP and not HTTPS

I have a few Windows 10 machines so thought I would download KB5004945 (printer spooler issue) via the official download site.

When I click on the file to download a browser extension says its not a secure download ie: using http instead of Https.
I have never thought about this before , but surely this is not acceptable.
I also read part of the post:
Microsoft is distributing security patches through insecure HTTP links | Computerworld
If I download and instal the files via windows update in the browser it is a long drawn out process and I am on a slow connection.
I am writing this post with my "trusty" Windows 7 machine with print spooler disabled.
Is their an easy method of finding out what the "official" hash number is for the download and then compare it with some tool ?

The patch contains SHA1 hash within it's name.

So that's what that file name means. Thanks, I never knew that. Here's the latest CU for W10 v21H1....

The SHA1 tool I used is an extension to my File Explorer's right-click menu that was added by installing 7-Zip.
