21H1 keeps saying updated when reboot or shutdown

I did the update to 21H1 on PC, seemed to go ok.

If I do check for updates it just keeps checking....without doing anything

If I try to shutdown or reboot when it comes back (after a long time) it says it has installed the 21h1 feature update again.

I have four of these repeated now in reliability history.

Ran windows update troubleshooter but it said nothing was needing to be fixed

Not sure how to fix this, so would appreciate assistance please!

Windows update stopped looking for updates and history now says 21H1 feature update has been installed

The two options Update and Shutdown and Update and Restart have been removed from the power options.

Wierd why it got stuck and kept wanting to update to 21H1

Good.. could you please click the green button and mark 'Solved' so people don't think you still need a solution? Thanks!

I am facing the same issue. Could you please tell me:

    1. How long did it take before Windows 10 finally stopped checking for updates? Minutes? Hours? Days?

    2. How many reboots did you do in an attempt to clear Windows Update (i.e. finish installing the 21H1 update) ?

    Thank you.

I tried a couple of times...then let it sit for a while until "check for updates" stopped looking for updates and offered the Optional Quality update.

    Probably 10-20 mins duration
