windows updates fail + 20H2 manual installation failure

Hello, my current win 10 pro version is 2004,
for the past months I have troubles with windows update, I get this error:

There were problems downloading some updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this, try searching the web or contacting support for help. This error code might help: (0x80070002)

I contacted Microsoft and they tried helping me with remote access, they tried the windows update troubleshoot but it didn't helped. then the agent downloaded the 20H2 update file separately but when trying to install it got to:

0xC1900101 - 0x30018
the installation failed in the FIRST_BOOT phase with an error code SYSPREP_SPECIALIZE operation

after that windows just undo all the update and get back to the previous version.
the agent told me I should update my motherboard bios and then it will work but the latest bios is from 2019
and it doesn't say anything about this issue in the info file.

I will really appreciate your help.

I would just go ahead and update the BIOS. Why wouldn’t you? I can’t hurt and it might just solve the problem.

This error is often related to a driver.

Please perform the following steps:
Run:

Upgrade_failure_info.bat - Click here to go to the BSOD batch repository to download and run this batch file.

I updated the bios but the installation procces of the 20h2 update get stuck at 48% and I have to do a hard reset.

Possibly a bad drive. I would try another drive, preferably get a new SATA SSD.

Might want to update the chipset driver as well...

so I run the bat file and it created a zip file, here it is:

Hopefully you don't require updates in order to continue using the PC normally.

If so, and assuming you can still boot successfully, and that your drive and file system are ok (basic checks I hope you've already done - have you?) then if Windows Update is affecting your work, disable it while you are using your PC.

b. 3rd party utilities like Sledgehammer.

You have Pro, so you can use the group policy editor to
a. set updates to Notify - then nothing happens until you say so.
b. defer feature updates for up to 365 days.

This stops failed upgrades repeating endlessly.

Then return to trying to resolve the problem when you have time.

You can also pause updates. Tutorial available if unsure how.

You don't have to be forced to upgrade. You can take control.

Diagnosing upgrade failures is time consuming and tedious and requires a methodical approach. The outcome is uncertain. There is no instant magic bullet.

Have you run setupdiag.exe from MS? This attempts to analyse upgrade logs.

Thank you very much for the replay.
I will try doing setupdiag.exe right away and update with the results.
The reason I want to do a windows update is because my cpu is on 100% usage and making my computer unusable. The wmi procces and powershell is causing this insane cpu usage and I thought the updates will fix it.
I opened a other thread on this matter but couldn't figured it out yet.

I would guess that working on fixing your CPU usage problem will be much more useful than try to fix an upgrade issue.
I would also guess that upgrading is unlikely to fix that.

I suggest you use group policy to stop the failing upgrade repeating, and concentrate of the CPU usage issue.
Do not attempt to resolve both at the same time, and in particular not in two independent threads.

That said, running setupdiag.exe is normally fairly trivial and could be useful.
